JUNK REMOVAL TIPS

Our prices are COMPETITIVE yet FAIR. However junk removal can be expensive. That's why we encourage our customers to do their due diligence to reduce cost if possible. Below are tips you should consider:

Plan Ahead:Take the time to assess your junk and consider if any items could be SOLD, GIVEN AWAY OR DONATED before your junk removal date. This allows you to declutter your space efficiently, ensuring that only items you truly need or want are removed from your home, office or organization to be disposed of. This can lead to a more organized and streamlined living environment, promoting a sense of clarity and well-being. 

 

Disassemble Attached Items: Prior to our arrival, ensure that any items that are attached to your home (walls, ceilings, floors, doors, pipes etc.) are disassembled. Please note that WE DO NOT MAKE ALTERATIONS to your home, unless under exceptional circumstances with a SIGNED WAIVER OF LIABILITY, which our field representatives will clarify. Disassembly allows for a smoother and more efficient removal process. It also minimizes the potential for accidents or injuries during the removal process. 

 

CREATE A SAFE WORK SPACE: Please ensure a HAZARD FREE WORK SPACE for your removal to take place. We believe in being FAST & EFFICIENT, but most importantly, CAREFUL! Clear a path to the entrances & exits IF POSSIBLE before our field reps arrive. Locate and identify the items you want removed, and if possible, move any obstructing vehicles beforehand. By taking these proactive measures, you help to create a safe and organized working environment for our removal team and facilitate a successful removal experience.

PARKING PERMITS: Ensure that parking permits are obtained for your location, if necessary. Please check with your City or Township for specific requirements. Parking permits are to help ensure that our truck can park close to your property, minimizing the distance our crew needs to carry your belongings. This can significantly speed up the loading process, saving time. Also, it helps to avoid potential fines or penalties for illegal parking. In many cities and townships, parking regulations are strictly enforced, especially in residential areas or busy urban areas. By securing parking permits in advance, you can avoid the hassle and expense of parking tickets or fines.

 

PET SAFETY: Secure any pets that may pose a risk or discomfort to our field representatives during the removal process. This precaution helps prevent any potential harm to anyone or a situation where your pet may escape.

 

Leave It to Us:While it's ultimately your decision, there's no need for you to touch or move any of your items to make our job easier. As a white-glove service, we encourage you to relax and let us handle the work for you. Simply point out the items you want removed, and we'll take care of the rest!

MOVING & PACKING TIPS

For moving and packing, expenses can accumulate swiftly. That's why we advocate for these cost-saving strategies:

Parking permits are to help ensure that our moving truck can park close to your property, minimizing the distance our crew needs to carry your belongings. This can significantly speed up the loading and unloading process, saving time and reducing the risk of damage to your items. Also, it helps to avoid potential fines or penalties for illegal parking. In many cities and townships, parking regulations are strictly enforced, especially in residential areas or busy urban areas. By securing parking permits in advance, you can avoid the hassle and expense of parking tickets or fines.

Pre-move assessment: Make sure to do an assessment of the destination prior to your move. This information is important for our field reps to give you a proper estimate. It also helps our crew to better prepare for your move. 

 

 

Packing:Prior to your move day pack away ALL of your small, loose miscellaneous items & electronics (ex. books, toys, laptops, speakers, shoes, cds, coffee makers, pots & pans). These items are prone to shifting and causing damage to the actual item as well as damage to other items while in  transit. Please note that WE DO NOT TAKE SMALL LOOSE ITEMS FOR THIS REASON, but we can place them in your vehicle (if you have one available) if need be. 

 

PLEASE DO NOT OVERPACK BOXES!!! Doing this may cause several things to happen. Your box/boxes may come open underneath, unexpectedly while one of our crew members are handling them. Your box/boxes may collapse while being loaded or packed on the truck. When loading/packing the truck, we ensure to pack and stack everything tight and secure, especially with bigger moves. This ensures that we get every inch of space necessary to fit all of your items. Heavier boxes are always used as a base. If you have an excess of heavy boxes it makes it almost impossible, at times, not to stack them. Which can cause collapsing during loading or while in transit. And last but not least, overpacking boxes may cause injury to crew members. While we are professionals who always handles very heavy pieces of furniture, an excess of heavy boxes is very strenuous situation to put anyone in. Keep in mind the crew has to go up and down steps as well as on and off of a truck. Not to mention it may cause the move to go slower which gets in the way of a fast and efficient experience. Proper planning to get enough boxes for your move will dramatically reduce the risk of any of these things happening during your move. 

 

ALL TV'S OVER 40" MUST HAVE A TV BOX in order for us to move it safely. Having a TV box dramatically reduces the risk of damage to the TV. If you do not have a TV box, we can get you one for you on your move day. If you have a TV box and you're not comfortable with packing it yourself, our professionals will gladly pack it in a proper TV box for you. The only other option for your TV/TV's (over 40") to make it to it's destination WITHOUT A BOX, would be for us to wrap your TV in a blanket and shrink-wrap, and place it/them in your vehicle.

Make sure you have a mattress bag/cover for your mattress. This ensures that your mattress does not get dirty (do to handling on or off of the truck), or getting wet from potential rain. We make sure our trucks are cleaned almost after every move, however having a mattress bag is the best option to protect your mattress during your move. I you do not have one on move day reach out to us prior to our arrival and we'll get you as many as needed for your move.

 

Clear A Path for smooth loading: Don't forget to MOVE YOUR VEHICLE or VEHICLES of the driveway or out of the path to the truck before our crew arrives. Ensure that there is a clear path for loading the truck by removing any snow, ice, or obstacles. This minimizes the risk of accidents or damage to your property as our crew carries potentially heavy furniture and boxes to the truck. Having a clear path also ensures that your move will stay on schedule without any unnecessary interruptions.

Labeling: Label your boxes & items with their destination (room) in your new home or business. We recommend placing stickers with multiple colors on various items and or boxes that correspond with different areas of your home, business or organization for efficient packing and effective unloading.

 

no extra fees for extra stops:  Inform your field rep ahead of time if you have EXTRA stops planned. WE DO NOT CHARGE FOR ADDITIONAL STOPS. We will uphold the SAME HOURLY RATE THAT WAS PROVIDED IN YOUR ESTIMATE​ WITH NO HIDDEN FEES! We understand that plans may change, and we aim to accommodate you without any additional costs.

DELIVERY & ASSEMBLY TIPS

Prepare for hassle-free delivery and assembly by following these essential guidelines. Effective communication and attention to detail are key to ensuring a seamless and satisfying experience.

IN STORE/ONLINE PURCHASES:

1. Ensure you have exact measurements of your item/s if possible.

 

2. The store you've purchased your item/s from should be alerted in advance. This saves us time at the store because your items will most likely be pulled & set aside for us to load. Provide us with a copy of your receipt as well to avoid any discrepancies.

 

3. Prepare a clear path for the crew to ensure a smooth delivery for your item's.

 

4. For all of our services keep an eye on the weather forecast and consider planning around inclement weather. While we work in all conditions, adverse weather may pose risks to your items or home. This holds true for ANY company you choose.

SOCIAL MEDIA & APP(BUY/SELL) PURCHASES:

1. FOLLOW STEPS 1, 3 & 4 ABOVE

2. Provide ALL CONTACT INFORMATION for all parties involved, including names, addresses, and phone numbers.

3. Ensure everyone is synchronized with the pickup date and time to avoid any discrepancies.

ASSEMBLY Services: 

1Prior to purchase, verify that your items will fit in the desired location.

2. Check for any damage to the packaging, as this may indicate potential damage to the merchandise or missing hardware.

3. TV MOUNTING- You should ALWAYS check the SPECIFICATIONS for your TV in regards to what mount is best.​​​​
